Sal's Landscaping & Garden Center introduced their services to the general public. With more than 10 years of experience in the field, Sal started his own business. He worked for Oak Village Landscaping for several years, but always had the dream of owning his own business, as many Americans dream. Many people told Sal that his work always showed great quality and that he should go out on his own. They believed that if he would go out on his own, he would have a very successful business. Well, Sal was a little scared because he was earning a secure check every week and starting his own business would be hard and unsecure for him. This was a new adventure for him, but he always believed in himself. It wasn't until one of his friends supported him by giving him a truck and telling him to go on his own, that Sal did just that. He started working on his own.

The first year for Sal was the hardest because nobody knew him. He just started this business with no advertising at all. He advertised the second year, but still not a lot of business came his way. Sal just kept working hard and doing the best he could, and that is when he started gaining more work. Sal works all the time because his priorities are his quality of workmanship and attention to detail, and it will always be so in his company. Sal has had many referrals from customers that think his business is doing well. A lot of people refer him because he is a good landscaper. In fact, about 70% of his business is from referrals and about 30% of his business is from advertisement.

In 2002, Sal's Landscaping had a project in the Parade of Homes for Marklein Builders. Our main priorities at Sal's Landscaping are our customer's satisfaction on beautifying their homes and businesses for the good of the environment.

I'm really sorry it took this long to tell you how pleased we are with the walk/patio that you and your crew installed for us. We have had nothing but positive comments from all the people that have seen it. I had hoped to include pictures, but the weather and other commitments have not allowed me the time to finish the plantings. Dear Sal,

Just a quick not to let you know how pleased we are with the landscaping work that you completed for us last Monday, April 30.

You were here bright and early Monday morning as scheduled and you completed all the work required late that day just before a heavy downpour of rain. We also had more than 2 inches of rain the next day and it gave us a chance to evaluate the drainage system that you installed. I am happy to say that everything was okay and that there was no water in the low areas of our lot. All water drained into the dry well through the plastic pipe that you installed. So, our drainage problems seems to be solved.

Thanks also for the great job of adding and leveling the black dirt and sowing the grass seed and the cleanup. We compliment you and your crew for a complete job well done.
